JGMOD

Last Updated : 15 October 2002

JGMOD is a MOD music playing add-on library for Allegro. Currently, it is working under DJGPP, Mingw32, Linux, Microsoft Visual C++ and BEOS 5 port of Allegro.

This library is a guestware. That means you need to sign in my JGMOD guestbook in order to use it. You can use it in whatever purpose you want to including commercial usage without paying me anything but listing me in the credits section would be nice.

You can do whatever with my codes. Modifying, adding, deleting or molesting my codes if you want but beware, my codes are also known to molest many people :-). However, modifying JGMOD under your name or anyone else name is not permitted.

Since it is free, I will not be responsible for any damage my library does. If you are molested by my codes, not my problem at all :-).

Supported format
Currently it supports MOD (15 and 31 samples, 1 to 64 channels), S3M, XM, Unreal/Tournament's S3M and XM (in UMX extension) and JGM

What's new

  1. Fix compatibility problem with Allegro WIP 4.12

If my library cannot play your musics correctly, then you are welcome to report the bug to me. Also please tell me at which track, pos and channel that the bug will be heard. If it cannot play correctly because of the unsupported effects, then don't send it. If you do have some suggestion or if you can improve my codes, you are definitely welcome. Just send it to jgfw@hotpop.com

When you found a bug, please don't hesitate to send it to me. JGMOD is not a bug free program. There are a certain bugs that I am not aware of but you do. Chances are that I will never encounter those bugs which means that they will not get fixed. You might have found more bugs than I do. So don't hesitate and I will see what I can do.

Note : You need the latest Allegro Work In Progress (e.g. 3.9.35) to get JGMOD compiled completely.
